| BIOGRAPHY |
|
Dr. G. E. Cowles was born in Bellpoint in 1862. He
attended and graduated from the Columbus Medical College, 1889,
and located at once to Ostrander. He married Miss Johnston
in 1894. He is a member of the State and County societies,
belongs to the F. and A. M., R. A. M., and is a K. T. a K. of
P., and a Phi Sigma Psi, Columbus, Ohio. Dr Cowles
belonged to one of the pioneer families of Delaware
county. He received his education in the public
schools. He read medicine with Dr. J. H. Fields, a
well-known practitioner of Ostrander. He is a careful and
thoughtful reader and keeps up with the medical sciences and is
in touch with the county and local interests. He has
served as township treasurer, and is a member of the school
board of the village. He is a member of the Baptist
Church. (24)
