| BIOGRAPHY |
|
D.C. Fay, Physician and Surgeon, was a successful practioner of medicine in
Central Ohio. Born in Union Co. as an only child to early settlers of
Union Co. Mr. Fay spent his youth at home educated until 16 years of age
by who father who was finely educated. At 16, he attended an
academy. After returning home, he taught for two years and then began
studying medicine under Dr. Southard of Marysville, Ohio. In 1864, he
attended lectures at Starling Medical College in Columbus, Ohio and later
graduated from the Ohio Medical College of Cincinnati. Soon after, he
located to Ostrander, Ohio where he remained. (1)
